Feather & Down

Recently, Feather & Down sent me some of their very nice (and very sleepy) products. They’re a sleep and wellbeing brand with amazing reviews so when I woke up last week to a parcel from them waiting for me, I couldn’t wait to start trying out their products!

I was sent three products:

  1. Pillow Spray
  2. Sleep Balm
  3. Melting Shower Cream

Beautiful packaging

The packaging was beautiful! It arrived in a little white box with blue ribbon tied around it with Feather and Down written on it. Inside, the products were wrapped up in blue paper and laying on a bed of silver shredded tissue paper. It looked really beautiful so I had to take a few pictures!

As Feather & Down’s products are designed to improve sleep quality I had to endure a whole day before being able to try them out for myself. So, when I got home from a day of uni and a shift at work, I was more than ready to get those 8 hours.

The first product I tried was the Pillow Spray:

This stuff is AMAZING. I honestly cannot get over how much this has improved the quality of my sleep. I did as the packaging instructed and sprayed it ‘generously’ over my pillow before I went to sleep and the smell is divine. It is a mixture of chamomile and lavender which instantly induced feelings of relaxation and calmness.

Lavender has also been proven to increase the amount of time you spend in slow wave sleep so when my alarm went off at 7am the next day, I didn’t want to murder anyone. Winning.

Tip – As well as your pillow, why not spray a little on your duvet?

The next product I tried was the sleep balm:

This is my favourite product from Feather and Down’s range! It’s a balm made up of lavender and chamomile oils and, guys, it’s beautiful. The instructions are to massage the fragrance balm into your pulse points which makes the fragrance last longer due to the beat of your heart.

Personally, I’ve found it to be a really relaxing step in my night time routine and it’s something I’m going to be using regularly.

Did I mention it’s also blended with nourishing vitamin E? Heart eyes.

Tip – combine the pillow spray and balm to maximise the relaxing aroma and ease your mind.

The final item I was sent is the melting shower cream:

I love this shower cream! Again, it consists of lavender and chamomile oils and smells absolutely gorgeous. I like to shower every night before bed so I love to use this shower cream as it helps me to relax and unwind after a long day.

I’ve also found that the fragrance lasts for a long time after showering which really impressed me.

Tip: A routine is key! Why not create a nightime routine consisting of this lovely shower cream?

You can find Feather and Down in Boots:

While you’re at it, why not check out Feather and Down’s YouTube channel? With video’s filled to the brim with sleep tips and more, you won’t be disappointed!

I particularly enjoyed the ‘Seasonal Sleep Tips’ video.

I hope you enjoyed this blog post!

My Final Year of Uni

Guys, I am SCARED to graduate and enter adult life. It seems like only yesterday I was sleeping in, watching too much tv and doing absolutely nothing with my life. Wait, that WAS yesterday. But still, you know what I mean.

Life is about to hit me hard and honestly, I’m not ready for it. What I’m going to do with my life is a question that crosses my mind a million times a day yet I still manage to find new ways to avoid dealing with it (like spending 3 hours researching which new face mask to buy) … a girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do. ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ

My life might be a shambles, but I WILL have clear skin!

Moving on, I have some big choices to make about my future which realistically should already be made but they’re not, and I’m ok with it. I don’t want to rush into something that I regret and I also want to spend a little time enjoying my life education free. In the words of the great philosopher Queen Clarisse Renaldi, a Queen is never late, everyone else is simply early. I repeat this to myself whenever I have an existential crisis (which is quite often come to think of it)…

Why must life be so complicated?!

Now if you excuse me, I’m off to have a bubble bath after a long hard day of doing absolutely nothing. Ciao!

My All Time Favourite Horror Movies

Feeling spooky but still need some horror movie inspo? Then look no further! I’ve got you covered.

Halloween is my favourite seasonย (it’s a season guys) and I begin my festivities and preparation as soon as September arrives! …aka cinnamon sprinkles on everything and The Nightmare Before Christmas on repeat (love you Jack) ๐ŸŽƒ๐Ÿ’€

Anyway, as you probably guessed, I’m a HUGE horror movie fan so I thought it was only fair to share some of my favourites with you guys to watch over this wonderful season!

1. The Nighmare Before Christmas

The Nightmare Before Christmas is one of my all time favourite films (especially because you can watch it during Halloween and Christmas!) and is a film I’ve grown up watching. I love the story, the soundtrack, the characters… I could go on and on! I’ve always loved stop motion animation too so this film really does hold a special place in my heart.

Watch it with:

Your best friend! Everything is more fun when shared.

…also Jack is everything.

2. Child’s play

In my opinion, I think the first film in the Chucky series is the best (although I’m very excited for the new one to be released๐ŸŽƒ)

I think it strikes the balance perfectly between terror and fun.. I mean what’s not to love about a killer doll?!

Watch it with:

Popcorn and a snuggly blanket.

3. The Shining

Do I even need to explain this one?

Watch it with:

The lights off!

4. Insidious Trilogy

I LOVE the Insidious film series! They’re sophisticated, smart and actually scary.

The first film is terrifying (tiptoe through the tulips is a no from me) and is an all round really enjoyable film with jump scares, tension and a demon.

The second film is just as terrifying with a great twist!

The third film doesn’t follow the storyline of the first two but is, in my opinion, the scariest of the three. If you haven’t watched these films yet, you really should this Halloween!

Watch it with:

Your friends!

5. Coraline

A story about a girl that gets lured into a dark, magical universe where she meets her ‘other mother’ that has buttons for eyes and not so nice intentions.

Watch it:

On repeat!
I’ll be adding more films as Halloween approaches… stay tuned ๐Ÿ’€

Hey, whats up? Iโ€™m Beth!

Iโ€™ve always loved writing (Iโ€™m currently studying English Literature at uni) so I thought, why not start a blog? So, here it is! I hope you like it as much as I like Game of Thrones..ย and thatโ€™s a LOT.
When I first made this blog, I initially intended it to be a place where I could write about fashion and my personal life. However, Iโ€™ve realised what I really want it to be is an expression of me ย โ€“ life ramblings and all.

I hope you enjoy it.

Summer Haze ๐Ÿƒ

Today has been absolutely beautiful.
The sun has been shining (an anomaly in the UK) I wore my favourite pair of jeans, went for a walk andย managed to snap a few pictures in the process ๐ŸŒฑ

I hope you enjoy!

It was really hot today (and by that I mean it wasn’t raining) so I went for a walk around a lake with some of my family.

I’m genuinely scared of birds (don’t ask) but I just couldn’t pass up the opportunity to get some beautiful pictures of these Swans. Even so, I still had to leg it after taking this picture because the one at the front started squawking and waggling its feathers at me. I survived, in case you were wondering.

exploring! Absolutely candid, might I add.. (I swear)

I’ve been coming here since I was a kid and I’ve not yet gotten bored of it (or fallen off the edge of that boardwalk)

I love it here ๐Ÿ’œ It’s beautiful, peaceful and quiet. The perfect place.

So, itโ€™s been a while…

Oh, hey there, stranger!

I know I know, it’s been a while since we last chatted! Life has been busy lately and I just haven’t had the time to write a blog post ๐Ÿ˜ฆ please forgive me โ™ก

Currently, I’m in bed watching 10 Things I Hate About You (best film ever, right?) and I suddenly felt inspired to write a blog post. So, after a few cups of coffee, I decided to write a post about my life lately, it’s definitely changed a little bit!

Change #1

I have a degree! Which is kind of a big deal for me because I’ve wanted a degree pretty much my whole life ๐Ÿ˜‹ and it’s in my favourite subject – English Literature (I’m a bookworm!)

Change #2

I have a job! So, I worked in retail for four years alongside school but recently I was lucky enough to get my first, ‘career-job’ and. it. feels goooood. I’ve been playing Independent Ladies by DC for a good few weeks ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ ‘I depend on me’ … ๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿฝ

Change #3

Well, I’ve actually run out of changes to talk about. I got my second tattoo! (Does that count?) a lil heart โ™ก it definitely didn’t hurt…

So small, you can barely see it ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ

That’s all for now โœจ

21 things I’ve learned at 21

So, I turned 21 a couple of months ago meaning I’m now officially an adult so I need to sort my life out and that I can legally drink in America which came in handy when I went to NYC a few weeks ago ๐Ÿ˜ Let’s be honest here though, I love having a drink. There’s nothing quite like being wine drunk on a Monday night with your best pals ๐Ÿ’ž

I’ve been thinking about something to post for a few days, especially as I’ve had a huge loss of motivation because I’ve been really unwell, stressed with uni and just generally stuck in a bit of a rut, so I thought, why not write about some things that I’ve learned as I’ve moved from teen to adult? Keep reading ๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿฝ

1. Sometimes you just have to cut people out of your life in order to progress

2. Getting a tattoo didn’t hurt half as much as I thought it would

3. Learning to be comfortable in your own skin is one of the most empowering things you’ll ever do for yourself

4. That some people just aren’t supposed to be in your life forever

5. Witch hazel will literally cure anything

6. It’s ok to not be where you thought you’d be

7. That my best friends are the funniest, kindest, sweetest people I could have ever wished to end up with

8. That sharing a problem with someone really does help

9. To never, ever put on foundation with your fingers

10. To eat before drinking alcohol (I never learn my lesson)

11. That becoming a vegetarian would make me a more disciplined, healthy and empathetic person

12. Discovering that I can write backwards naturally… I’m a freak

13. That catching feelings too fast will literally rip your soul out into little pieces

14. That being in a toilet cubicle with your best pals and realising you’re very, very drunk and that you don’t care because you’re having too much fun is one of the best feelings in the world

15. That lip liner would impact my life more than I could ever have anticipated

16. Fake tan, too ๐ŸŠ

17. Comparing myself to other people will never, ever be a good thing. Everyone is at different stages and that’s ok

18. Grades aren’t the be all end all

19. That it’s important to be able to spend time with yourself

20. That moisturising your skin is KEY

21. Personal success will always, always be the best kind of revenge

I could have added a million more things but they’re the first that came to mind, all I know is that I’m content with the person that I am right now and the path I’m going down ๐Ÿ’“๐Ÿ’“๐Ÿ’“

Can you relate to any of these things? I’d love to hear your thoughts โœจ

Until next time,

Being an Instagram Influencer… Is it all it’s Cracked up to be?

Blogging and Influencing are two ventures that seemingly go hand in hand, and though to many they seem like ‘dream jobs’ there’s a lot more than meets the eye and I’m definitely experiencing this first hand as I go along. Don’t get me wrong, I’m really grateful that I’ve had the opportunity to work with so many different companies in such a short amount of time, and even have a photo of mine used in VOGUE (I’m still in shock over that one)ย  but I’m quickly realising that the amount of effort required to be successful is next level. On top of this, my mindset has completely changed with regards to how I go about my life. Everyday activities like going for coffee or meeting up with friends can sometimes be tarnished by pressure to create content for both my blog and my Instagram, which is completely fine, but sometimes it can be really hard to create a balance between my personal life and social media, and I find that I can struggle to ‘switch off’ and I know that’s something a lot of bloggers experience, too.

26871394_291542088039993_8749508655864348672_n(1)I’ve been blogging and influencing now for around 8 months and personally, I’ve found that these last few months have been extremely instrumental in helping me shape a plan for the future. For the first time in my life, I feel clarity when I think about my future and where I’d like to be in 5 years… whether I get there or not is another matterย but I’m a firm believer that if you want something enough you can absolutely achieve it and get to where you want to be as long as you’re determined and back yourself. My dream is to become a full time blogger and I don’t see that as something that is unattainable. I’m starting to profit from doing something that I love and my plan for the next year or so is to get a freelance writing/content creator job which would allow me to blog/influence part time without too much pressure and devote much more of my time to it as well.

So, is it all it’s cracked up to be? Put simply, yes! I’m so grateful for all of the opportunities I’ve been given from having a blog and being an influencer. However, like everyone on Instagram, you make life look a lot more glamorous than it actually is and this is definitely the case for me. I’m extremely picky about what I choose to post on Instagram and for every photo that I post, you can be sure that I’ve taken around 200 other photos and then spent around 30 minutes narrowing down my favourite ten, editing them all and then deciding which one is the most, ‘Instagram worthy.’

…My iPhone storage HATES me.

26351763_141801409819498_1374577740186910720_n

Not gonna lie, it’s such a weird feeling to be paid or gifted items by companies in exchange for a photo on Instagram and it’s super surreal to see something that I never thought I would achieve slowly start to come true. If I was told eight months ago that I would have a photo that I took in VOGUE for example, I’d have never believed it. That being said, I’m a really determined person and when I set my mind to something, I try my absolute hardest to achieve it. When it comes down to it, I can honestly say that I’m so happy that I decided to create a blog! I love being able to talk freely and having the chance to connect with lovely, like-minded individuals and I’m so excited to really push myself this year and see what happens, both as a blogger and influencer. That being said, writing is my first love, so a dream of mine is to be a contributor or editor for a fashion magazine on top of all this.

Right now, I’m learning more and more everyday how to balance blogging/ Instagram with having a job, being in university, and having a social life. I wont lie, it can be hard! However, I absolutely love it and I’m excited to see where this year takes me, especially as my first youtube video is planned for this month!

27892922_1910906492556003_9008200789574811648_n

Keeping it real though, I have struggled in some ways, here are my top three that I’ve experienced:

  1. My Motivation

Sometimes I lose motivation and then beat myself up about it because I like to create content regularly and feel organised. I’m a creative person and I love photography so I really enjoy the creative control I get over both my Instagram and blog. However, sometimes I just don’t have the time, or, put plainly, I’d rather spend my afternoon with my friends or doing something reallyย  productive likeย watching Game of Thrones from the beginning (we’ve all been there) and then I get into a rut because I feel guilty for not keeping on top of things. On top of uni and other regular life things I have a job in retail so sometimes all I want to do is put on my pjs and sleeeeep.

2. Creating Original Content

I think this one definitely ties in with planning and organisation. For me, I don’t struggle with thinking of new types of images to take but rather, making sure that the end product is what I envisioned at the start. I’m also incredibly picky about what my feed looks like and I actually whiten my background in each picture in order to make my feed look brighter and more eye catching. I know that it just comes with practice (and time!) and I feel like after graduation, I’ll be able to dedication wayyy more time to this.

3. Posting Regularlyย

I’ll be the first to admit, I definitely need to post more regularly on both Instagram and my blog. At the moment it can be really difficult to maintain a routine but I find that I’m slowly getting better and sticking to set times and set days to post as I go along. Personally, I would like to post at least one picture a day on Instagram and I need to post twice a week on my blog (I’ll be able to post more as soon as I graduate)… just wait on me!

This blog post was kinda long but I just wanted to share my experience so far in the world of blogging and influencing. No matter what, I’m so glad I took the plunge and started doing this last year (I was really scared about what people would think) because it’s made me a much happier, confident person!

Hope you enjoyed angels ๐Ÿ’“

Why Becoming A Vegetarian Changed My Life

Hey lovelies! Hope you’re well ๐Ÿ’“

Today I woke up and felt like writing a blog post about vegetarianism and my experience of it.

On New Year’s Day, it marked my fourth year of being a vegetarian and honestly, it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Although, it did take me a little while to commit to the lifestyle.

Growing up, vegetarianism was a common thing in my house. My dad has been a vegetarian my whole life, so when I was growing up, I never saw being a vegetarian or eating vegetarian food as being strange because it was normal to me. Most nights my mum would make a vegetarian meal in the evening for everyone and so vegetarianism became a norm for me from a really young age.

I first gave vegetarianism a go when I was about 16 and lasted about 6 months and then I somehow managed up in McDonald’s buying a 20 box of chicken nuggets (it was all a bit of a blur) but it was something that I wanted so I don’t feel bad about it. Anyway, I started to eat meat again for about 5 months but it just didn’t feel right anymore, I’m not sure if it was my mindset or the fact I didn’t eat meat for 6 months but I found that eating meat made me uncomfortable and I couldn’t shake that feeling.

So, it’s no surprise that I gave it another go, and stuck to it. Being a vegetarian has changed my way of thinking, my body and has made me a much happier, healthier person.

Here’s five ways being a vegetarian has changed my life:

1. Healthy lifestyle

Don’t get me wrong, being a vegetarian doesn’t mean that you’re going to lose two stone and be the healthiest person in the world. It’s so easy to eat badly and have an unbalanced diet. However, I’ve found that being a vegetarian has made me want to eat healthy and be healthy. Along with becoming a vegetarian, I started to go to the gym and focus on ways to make myself happier and healthier.

2. Given me discipline

Being a vegetarian isn’t easy, and I personally believe that it takes about a year  to figure out if you can be one long term.

On top of this, being vegetarian isn’t just cutting out meat from your diet. It means cutting out certain stuff like haribos and marshmellows (you can get veggie versions but it’s still a pain) ๐Ÿ˜”

All in all, being a vegetarian has proved that I can stick to something no matter how awkward it can be.

3. More educated about what I’m putting in my body

I’ve found that I’m a lot more fussy over what I eat in general. I drink cow’s milk and eat eggs but I’m put off from them after researching about the realities of those industries and the treatment of animals. However, regardless of my personal views, I do believe that people can eat whatever they want because it isn’t my business ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ if people want to be vegetarian or vegan, cool. If they don’t? That’s cool, too.

4. Happier

I feel so much happier and energised โค๏ธ Obviously I have bad days, but I’m a much happier person in general โœจ

5. Made my skin clearer

I’m not sure if this is entirely from being a vegetarian, but I’ve cut out a lot of processed foods and junk food since becoming vegetarian and my skin has definitely thanked me for it.
Are you a vegetarian? What’s your opinion? Let me knowโค๏ธ
Thank you for reading!
Until next time,

๐Ÿ’• Christmas Gift Guide ๐Ÿ’•

Hello everyone! Hope you’re well โœจ I’ve been so busy the past few weeks with university and the run up to Christmas so I’ve not had a lot of time to blog but I have the morning off so I thought I’d write a Christmas gift guide ๐ŸŽ…๐Ÿผ (aka all the things I’m loving right now)

So without further ado, here’s my Christmas Gift Guide, packed full of stuff I’m loving, gift ideas and everything guaranteed to make your favourite people smile.

1. CANDLES

Right now, I’m loving this White Cardamom candle from Crabtree and Evelyn. It’s smells amazing and comes in the most beautiful packaging as you can see above. This candle is on the pricier side (currently retails at ยฃ42) so I feel like this would be something you would buy for someone who loves candles because it smells divine and the quality is incredible. Personally, I think this would be the perfect gift for a parent or best friend because it adds a touch of luxury and everyyyone loves a bit of that.

If you don’t wanna splash out, Yankee Candles are a personal favourite of mine and their holiday candles are to die for!

Right now, I’m currently using the ‘Christmas Magic’ and ‘Candy Cane Forest’ Yankee Candles are they’re SO nice! I think they’re the perfect stocking filler (who doesn’t love a candle?!)

 2. SKINCARE GIFT SETS

I also got sent a gift set from Sanctuary Spa and it is the stuff of dreams. It’s called ‘Stay home & Unwind’ and honestly, it’s everything I’ve ever wanted in a gift set.

Sanctuary were also kind enough to send me the ‘ultimate indulgence’ gift set which would be a lovely gift for family and friends alike. Also, how CUTE is the packaging?!

Inside the ultimate indulgence gift set there’s a bath soak, body wash, hand cream and body butter. I’ve *obviously* tested them out and can honestly say they’re so luxurious. Goals? Goals.

  3. BEAUTY

Recently, Nails Inc. sent me some amazing Christmas gift sets and honestly, I’ve been tempted to keep them for myself.

One of my favourite things I got sent was this stunning makeup bag โœจ it’s a really nice size (you could easily fit all of your makeup in this) and its HOLOGRAPHIC. This would be a perfect gift for a friend (or yourself) ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ

When it first arrived, it was packed full off nail polishes and lipsticks:

The lipsticks are an amazing quality! When I tried them out the other day, the lipstick lasted around 4 hours before I needed to reapply which was really impressive. The smaller lipsticks all retail at ยฃ8 and the two longer lipsticks are ยฃ10 so these would be a lovely stocking filler.

Secondly, it was also filled with these nails polishes! I’m obsessed with everything nail related so I was so excited to try these and was not disappointed! The colours I got sent are colours I usually wear (I prefer to wear darker nail polish) and in particular, I love the ‘Caffeine Hit’ nail polishes because they literally have caffeine in them… this is not a drill! I currently have some on and my nails literally smell like coffee.

Ok but how incredible is this ‘Sparkle Like A Unicorn’ beauty set?! It has everything inside you could ever want for a cute night in (lipstick, face mask, nail polishes) and I’m obsessed with the packaging ๐Ÿฆ„

Personally, I think this would be the perfect gift for a best friend โœจ

On the topic of best friends, you can never go wrong with face masks! I got sent two different face mask gift sets, the first being ‘The Fairytale Of Good Skin’ and I really love the packaging design.

It’s designed to fold out which I really like because you can easily see all of the different face masks at once and it’s also easy to store because you can just fold it back up again.

There’s also a really cute story which includes the names of all the different sheet masks which is a really cute detail. โœจ

The second face mask gift set I was sent is this lovely ‘Joyful Skin’ wreath gift set. I love how it’s designed to look like a wreath because it’s festive and so cute! I think that this would be the perfect gift for anyone that loves anything skincare related because it’s fun and Christmassy.

Last but not least, how could I leave out this gorgeous Nails Inc. Christmas bauble?! ๐Ÿ’…๐Ÿผ

It’s so pretty and even more sparkly in real life! This is a really sweet gift that is guaranteed to not disappoint! It’s also quite large and there’s a lot of sparkles inside โœจ

 4. HAIRCARE GIFTS

Moving on, a lovely brand called Grow Gorgeous Hair recently sent me some of their products to try and they would be a perfect Christmas gift choice.

All of their products come in this lovely packaging (I’m slightly obsessed with packaging if you haven’t already noticed) and the products themselves are a generous size and an incredible quality.

This full bodied volumsing shampoo is INCREDIBLE. After one use my hair felt so much more volumised. I have naturally curly hair, and this shampoo really helps to add an extra bounce to my curls. Also, some shampoos leave my hair feeling really dry and knotty whilst this does the total opposite! My hair felt so soft. I’m obsessed.

Secondly, the full bodied volumsing leave in conditioner is amazing! My hair needs conditioner otherwise my hair can feel brittle, and after just one use of this leave in conditioner my hair felt so soft. Honestly, I really can’t emphasise how amazing my hair felt (and how good it smelt) and this brand is one I’m going to be using for a long time to come. I really recommend trying these out, and if you’re thinking of buying for someone for Christmas, they have some lovey Christmas bundles currently for sale!

Skylar Yoo

Recently, I reached out to the wonderful brand Skylar Yoo after stumbling upon them on Instagram. As soon as I read the motivation behind the brand, I just knew I had to reach out to them.

Skylar Yoo is a brand dedicated to encouraging Women to:

  • Chase after their dreams, however big they may be
  • Trust in themselves and their abilities
  • Create a life they love

Alice Yoo (the creator of the brand) kindly let me choose a shirt of my choice. At Skylar Yoo, all of the shirts are hand lettered with inspiring, empowering phrases that aim to make women feel powerful and comfortable within themselves. On top of this, they also sell empowering prints and accessories.

What I found most inspiring was the story behind the creator of Skylar Yoo, Alice Yoo, and what lead her to creating this brand. On Skylar Yoo’s website, Alice writes:

I chose the name for this new company, Skylar Yoo, because, had I had a daughter, I would have named her Skylar or “Sky” for short. What would I say to her? “The sky is the limit, baby.”

Alice went through a time in her life which she describes as being ‘the hardest time of my life and the most enlightening’ which you can read about here in her own words (I really recommend you to read it),
https://www.skylaryoo.com/pages/about-us

and after falling in love with hand lettering, and witnessing the incredible women’s march on the 21st of January 2017, Skylar Yoo was born. ๐ŸŒŸ

The phrase that stood out to me the most was ‘Girls to the Front‘ which I think unifies women as well as reminding each and everyone of us that we are powerful, independent and capable of achieving anything and everything we set our minds to. ๐Ÿ‘ธ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘ธ๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘ธ๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ‘ธ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ‘ธ๐Ÿฟ

Skylar Yoo also donates 10% of all profits to two charities, one that fights for women’s rights and one that educates people about mental health – two things that are very important to me and close to my heart.

If you have a moment, please check out Skylar Yoo’s website and shop as this company is dedicated to empowering women and to breaking the stigma surrounding mental health. Be Bold โœจ

I’m being featured in VOGUE?!๐ŸŒŸ

Hi Guys!

I just wanted to make a quick blog post because recently I found out that I’m being featured in… VOGUE!

No words can quite describe the surreal feeling I experienced when I looked down at my phone and saw the message stating, ‘we’ve selected your photo for VOGUE.’ If anything, I think it could potentially be likened to that feeling when you’ve drank so much coffee you’re on the verge of passing out. Fyi, I didn’t actually pass out but I’m pretty sure I very nearly went into cardiac arrest.

I’m a regular blogger for the wonderful company BESSIE (who make the most stunning bags) and they’ve selected a photo I took for them to use in British Vogue January 2018.

Guys, my KNEE is gonna be in British VOGUE. I’ve peaked.

Best. Christmas. Present. Ever.

In all seriousness, I’m so grateful for this opportunity, never in a million years did I think something of mine would be featured in my favourite magazine. ๐Ÿ’›

November Outfit Favourites

Hello again! How are you?

I’m currently sat in my bed (surrounded by a huge pile of mess because I’m the laziest person in the world) and I’m writing a blog post because I just want to avoid tidying it up for as long as possible. We’ve all been there…right?

So, I thought I’d make a post allll about my November Favourites and what I’m loving! This time of year is the absolute best because it means you can start wearing cute coats, fluffy scarves and listening to Christmas music without being judged (I started listening to Christmas music in October like a regular, functioning human) and I just adore how cosy this time of year is.

The first thing that I’m obsessing over is my *stunning* Rosefield Watch. I was lucky enough to be sent it as part of a collaboration I did with them over on my instagram and it’s safe to say that it has not left my wrist since the day it was delivered.

I just find that watches are the perfect detail to any outfit and I personally feel that they make any style look complete. I chose the Upper East Side because it’s my favourite style that Rosefield have created and I picked it in gold because it suits my skin tone more than silver.

The second thing I’m obsessing over is my winter coat! Winter coats are hands down my favourite part of this time of year! I invest in a new winter coat every year (sometimes two or three) because no outfit is complete without the perfect coat to see you through the winter period. I always get so sad during spring because I know summer is fast approaching which means putting my coats away for a few months. Actually, who am I kidding, I’m from the UK so our summer lasts about a day!  Even so… you get what I mean.

Moving on, this season is allllll about Berets so I HAD to buy one and guys, I’m obsessed with it. It’s the cutest lil thing and I love all things Parisian so this is a firm favourite for me this winter โ˜ƒ๏ธ

I got mine in black so it’ll go with everything but I think burgundy would be really cute too. On a side note, I’m in desperate need of a baker’s boy hat. DESPERATE NEED.

Do you prefer berets or baker boy hats?

Until next time,

Autumn Bedroom Ideas ๐Ÿ‚

Hello lovelies! How are you?

I have a reading week in uni which basically means I’m about to spend the week watching stranger things and sleeping. Juuust kidding, I’m going to spend the week watching stranger things, sleeping and doing important uni work…probably.

Yesterday, I decided to make a blog post all about how to make your room look cute on a budget! Now that it’s November it’s basically Christmas and there’s nothing nicer than coming home to a cosy room where you can snuggle up with a hot chocolate and watch *iconic* Christmas films like The Grinch.

So, after thinking long and hard about how to transform my bedroom without spending too much money it finally hit me: PRIMARK. They do the most amazing homeware for the cheapest prices so I couldn’t help picking up some pillows and a fluffy throw whilst I was out shopping with one of my best friends the other day:

I honestly can’t get over how SOFT they are. I love all things cosy and I’m obsessed with throws (I have around 5 currently in my bedroom) but I find that they can be so expensive so I was pleasantly surprised to find that Primark sell a range of absolutely gorgeous throws for insanely cheap prices (my one cost ยฃ6!)

The pillow I bought matches the throw and cost just ยฃ3! It’s such a lovely quality and again, it’s SO soft. I also love the neutral colour as it works with a range of colour schemes. I’m obsessed.

I bought the same pillow in pink a little while ago to add a bit of colour to my room (I’m a pillow hoarder, guys) and I can honestly say I’m so impressed with the quality of Primark’s homeware range.

Another favourite of mine that I think are the perfect detail to any space are candles! I adore candles. Seriously, they’re my favourite thing. They smell good, they’re atmospheric and they’re so relaxing. Honestly, what’s not to love?!

I bought a spiced apple candle recently from ASDA for ยฃ3 and it smells so good. During this time of year, my candles of choice most likely have the word ‘spiced’ somewhere in it’s description. Scrap that, they definitely do. If a candle smells like Starbucks at Christmas, I’m 1000% buying it.

It burns for fifty hours so it’s great value for money. Plus, it looks adorable which is an added bonus ๐ŸŒŸ

I was in the holiday spirit on the weekend and decided to treat myself to a Christmas Yankee Candle and it smells divine.

This candle literally smells like a spiced gingerbread latte and it’s taking a lot of willpower not to start burning it before December 1st! It was a little bit more expensive than my other one (ยฃ8.99) but so worth it. โ˜ƒ๏ธ

It sounds silly but I love the little details like  placing my slippers on the floor by my bed or putting a few books on my desk. I have a wall hook where I keep my most used accessories and honestly, I just think it adds a cute touch to my room.

Right now, I have my favourite bag which cost ยฃ7 from Primark, my beret from ASOS which I’m obsessed with and my new scarf!

Let’s not forget the most important detail, fairy lights! They’re the perfect touch to make any room look cosy and I love them.

I have some on the frame of my bed! Admittedly, they’re not turned on because it’s the middle of the day (and I was too lazy to lean across and turn them on before taking a pic) but I’ve been a fan of fairy lights for years and firmly believe that no bedroom is complete without them. โœจ

What do you use to make your bedrooms/spaces look cute and cosy? I’d love to hear them!

Also, I’m thinking about making a YouTube Channel in the very near future! If you would be up for watching my vids please let me know ๐ŸŒŸ I’m thinking about filming my first video soon โœจ

Until next time,
