Why Becoming A Vegetarian Changed My Life

Hey lovelies! Hope you’re well 💓 Today I woke up and felt like writing a blog post about vegetarianism and my experience of it.  On New Year’s Day, it marked my fourth year of being a vegetarian and honestly, it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Although, it did take me a little while to commit to the lifestyle. Growing up, vegetarianism was a common thing in my house. My dad has been a vegetarian my whole life, so when I was growing up, I never saw being a vegetarian or eating vegetarian food as being strange because it was normal to me. Most nights my mum would make a vegetarian meal in the evening for everyone and so vegetarianism became a norm for me from a really young age.  I first gave vegetarianism a go when I was about 16 and lasted about 6 months and then I somehow managed up in McDonald’s buying a 20 box of chicken nuggets (it was all a bit of a blur) but it was something that …

Autumn Bedroom Ideas 🍂

Hello lovelies! How are you? I have a reading week in uni which basically means I’m about to spend the week watching stranger things and sleeping. Juuust kidding, I’m going to spend the week watching stranger things, sleeping and doing important uni work…probably. Yesterday, I decided to make a blog post all about how to make your room look cute on a budget! Now that it’s November it’s basically Christmas and there’s nothing nicer than coming home to a cosy room where you can snuggle up with a hot chocolate and watch *iconic* Christmas films like The Grinch. So, after thinking long and hard about how to transform my bedroom without spending too much money it finally hit me: PRIMARK. They do the most amazing homeware for the cheapest prices so I couldn’t help picking up some pillows and a fluffy throw whilst I was out shopping with one of my best friends the other day: I honestly can’t get over how SOFT they are. I love all things cosy and I’m obsessed with throws …

Autumn Playlist

AUTUMN. IS. HERE. Sorry, I felt the need to capitalise that statement because I’m *so* very excited about my favourite time of the year being in full swing. Sure, Halloween is over but that doesn’t mean the spooky celebrations have to stop. In fact, I’m about to go watch Hocus Pocus so spooky it up, folks! On the other hand, Christmas is next month so maybe get cosy and watch an iconic Christmas film like The Elf? I dont know, you do you.  Anyway, whilst we’re on the topic of Halloween I may aswell share a pic of my Halloween outfit (any excuse, right?) I spent a good deal of time planning my costume not to mention the dangers I experienced whilst getting ready! I literally got glitter in my eyes. Yep. I went as a devil, duh. OK I’m done! Let’s back to the actual topic of this blog: providing you with a fiyah Autumn playlist 🔥 1. DVSN – Don’t Choose 2. Mabel – Ivy 3. Krept & Konan – For Me 4. Tom Odell – …

My Final Year of Uni

Guys, I am SCARED to graduate and enter adult life. It seems like only yesterday I was sleeping in, watching too much tv and doing absolutely nothing with my life. Wait, that WAS yesterday. But still, you know what I mean. Life is about to hit me hard and honestly, I’m not ready for it. What I’m going to do with my life is a question that crosses my mind a million times a day yet I still manage to find new ways to avoid dealing with it (like spending 3 hours researching which new face mask to buy) … a girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do. 🤷🏻‍♀️ My life might be a shambles, but I WILL have clear skin! Moving on, I have some big choices to make about my future which realistically should already be made but they’re not, and I’m ok with it. I don’t want to rush into something that I regret and I also want to spend a little time enjoying my life education free. In the words …

October Favourite: Rescue Remedy

Hello lovelies! How are you? I’ve recently arrived home from a week in Spain and besides from getting busy tanning and swimming with tropical fish, I did struggle with a little bit of anxiety in the airport.  I love going on holiday, but I’m not a huge fan of airports (apart from duty free shopping, obviously) so when Rescue Remedy offered to send me out a few products to try, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on them!  Rescue Remedy specialise in creating products to aid in soothing anxiety and I found their products to be extremely effective and they’re something I’ll be using regularly from now on!  Keep reading to see what I got sent 👇🏼 1. Soothing Pastilles  These work. I took one as I left to go to the airport because I was feeling anxious and after about 10 minutes I felt a lot more at ease and relaxed. If you suffer with anxiety I can’t recommend these enough! Though they are not a cure, they really do help ease symptoms of …

New Look Shopping Haul

Hello lovelies!  Autumn is coming but my summer isn’t over just yet because I’m going to Spain at the end of the month! I NEED new clothes (and a tan) 💃🏻 I bought a few things from my faves New Look recently.  They have an amazing deal on right now (buy one item get one free) and my bank account is hurting because of it. Oops.  Keep reading to see a few styles I’m loving right now and what I bought!  I’m so in love with this dress! I got it for the bargain price of £10 and honestly, I’m obsessed.  I’m planning on wearing this during the evenings in Spain as I feel it’s a little more formal and sophisticated. Plus, there’s no point in making much of an effort with my appearance during the day as I have more important things to do, like sunbathe. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I think that a pair of heeled sandals are the perfect option for this outfit as it’s a midi dress and the extra height balances out the proportions.  …

How to Stay Motivated, Happy and Healthy at University

Hey guys! I can’t believe it, but I’m about to become a… third year. HELP. I’m finally starting to enter the dreaded world of adulthood and life is coming at me FAST. It’s chill tho. Looking back, having to pick a degree to undertake at the age of 17 seems absolutely ridiculous seeing as I’m now nearly 21 and still none the wiser on what I want to do. Maybe its just me, but the pressure placed on me at such a young age was terrifying and stressful, and I ended up picking a course that I enjoyed, not so much wanted to pursue a career in. To top it off, university isn’t something that I’ve massively clicked with and the majority of my university experience so far has been spent in coffee shops whilst I skip a seminar, or out with my friends doing anything other than studying. I’ve really struggled to stay motivated and interested in my course. However, I’m going into my final year and I’m determined to throw myself into my …
